Remembering Ralph Andersen |
Ralph Andersen, a giant on the Board of Trustees, passed away in July 2007 after a year-long battle with brain cancer. His Memorial Service in Sacramento, California, attended by over 500 community leaders, friends and family, was a testament to his outstanding career and commitment to public service. Of the six eulogists, four were Junior Statesmen trustees and/or alumni, including Estelle Saltzman, Greg Thatch, and Ralph's two children, Kristen and Jay (Kristen and Jay are also JSA alumni). |

Reflections and Action
I am writing this letter to thank you for all you have done for my students and my school. For the last two years I have had the pleasure of working with the Junior State of America as the Emily N. Carey Harbor High School Chapter Advisor. I cannot say enough good things about the JSA organization, its administration, the people, the events, programs, and speakers. |
