BACKGROUND
A rare opportunity for 250 passionate students to experience the American political process first-hand. They won't just learn about politics, they'll actually be living it, as attendees and participants in each of the two majority party conventions in Denver, Colorado and then in St. Paul, Minnesota. JSA students can choose to attend one or both of the national conventions, joined by one faculty member for every 10 participants. You get 10% off one of the programs if you attend both!
This is the first set of national conventions in decades without an incumbent President or Vice President as a candidate, so the on-floor and backroom wranglings could be highly energy packed. JSA attendees will have key interaction with the movers-and-shakers from their own home state delegations. They'll run and participate in debates on the hot topics of the election, and possibly at times be on the Convention floor, present for key votes and historic speeches.
It's simply a once in a lifetime on-site chance to simultaneaously learn it, and live it, as major policy issues and campaign dynamics come together on our grandest political stage.
