7:30 a.m. Breakfast  - A great time to catch the front page headlines
8:30 a.m. AP U.S. Government
Lecture & Discussion: The political “...isms”: Models to help you identify and understand ideologies (Liberalism, Libertarianism, Populism, Conservatism, Fascism, Marxism, Anarchism...).
11:30 a.m. Lunch - Grab a sandwich and hang out on the lawn. Meet with your professor to discuss whether the term paper should focus on affirmative action or the charter school movement.
1:00 p.m. Honors Speech Communication
Debriefing on yesterday's Speakers Program: who made the most effective presentation? Viewing & discussion: Clinton’s 1997 Inaugural Address v. Bush’s 2001 Inaugural Address.  Impromptu speeches.
4:00 p.m. Free time: Stop by the University Bookstore.  Catch second half of the faculty-staff basketball game before dinner.
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Meet roommate in the cafeteria.  Spend some time in the library researching the Middle East peace process, the topic of an upcoming assignment.
7:00 p.m. Congressional Workshop Debate: Tonight's topic – Resolved, that minors be required to obtain parental consent before obtaining an abortion.
9:00 p.m. Free Time - Review Chapter 10 of Taking Sides: Clashing Views on Controversial Political Issues
10:00 p.m. Floor meeting led by the RA: Review options for a cultural trip this weekend.
Surprise birthday party for one of the students on the hall - parents had a cake delivered!
11:00 p.m. Curfew - Just enough time to read an essay by Locke (tomorrow’s government assignment) and catch up on the day with my roommate before falling asleep!
