7:30 a.m. Breakfast  - A great time to catch the front page headlines
8:30 a.m. Constitutional Law
Lecture & Discussion: “Bakke vs Regents of the University of California” Review majority and minority opinions; discussion on impact on society.
11:30 a.m. Lunch - Grab a sandwich and hang out on the lawn. Meet with your professor to discuss whether the term paper should focus on affirmative action or the charter school movement.
1:00 p.m. Leadership and Public Service
Lecture and Tips: “Effective Persuasive Speeches – How to win over your audience.”
3:00 p.m. Leadership and Public Service
Grassroots Organizing: Panel of leaders from advocacy organizations give students advice on how to get involved in community activism projects.
4:00 p.m. Free time: Stop by the University Bookstore.  Catch second half of the faculty-staff basketball game before dinner.
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Your professor joins your table at the cafeteria. The conversation ranges from which university has the best Political Science Department to which one has the best fight song. (Hint: Your professor got a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.)
7:00 p.m. Mock Congress Committee Session: Your bill on offshore oil drilling is up before the Natural Resources Committee. A classmate wants to offer an amendment that would weaken the bill. You’ve lobbied other members of the committee to kill the amendment.
9:00 p.m. Free Time - Work on a section of your term paper about judicial activism.
10:00 p.m. Floor meeting led by the RA: Review options for a cultural trip this weekend.
Surprise birthday party for one of the students on the hall - parents had a cake delivered!
11:00 p.m. Curfew - Make sure to get a good night's rest for the Speakers Day tomorrow.
