T. Jack Foster Jr. became involved with the Junior Statesmen Foundation because his daughter, Lee, then attending San Mateo High School, joined and became very active. T. Jack served on the board and as chairman, presiding over the 50th anniversary celebration. He headed the family company, Foster Enterprises, based in San Mateo, which developed Foster City, Calif. The company continues in the real estate development, investment and management business.

T. Jack has served his community in many ways, as member and chairman of Peninsula Community Foundation, member and president of San Mateo Rotary Club, president of San Mateo County Development Association, chairman San Mateo Human Resources Commission.
