Germain's law practice focuses on all phases of civil and appellate litigation in state and federal courts involving securities, real estate, entertainment, employment, construction, environmental, technology and insurance matters. Germain has acted as lead counsel on numerous significant matters through jury and bench verdicts.

Germain graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1986 with a degree in political science and received his law degree from Loyola of Los Angeles Law School in 1989.

At Loyola Law School, Germain served as Editor-in-Chief of the International and Comparative Law Journal.

Germain is a licensed California real estate broker and is a judge pro tem with the Los Angeles County Superior Court and a commissioner for the City of Los Angeles.

Germain served as Governor of Junior State (1981-1982) and attended Junior State Summer School at U.C. Davis (1980) and Washington DC (1981).
