Kevin Gordon serves as the executive director of the California Association of School Business Officials. CASBO provides representation and professional development for school and community college district administrators who are responsible for school finance, personnel, technology, transportation, school safety, school facilities, purchasing, payroll, accounting and maintenance and operations. Prior to joining CASBO, Kevin served for 12 years as the chief lobbyist and assistant executive director for the California School Boards Association. He has also served as chief of staff to Congressman Robert T. Matsui (D-Sacramento) and as a legislative advocate for the Building Industry Association.

Kevin earned his bachelor's degree in communication studies from the University of California, Davis and a masters degree in public administration from the University of San Francisco. Upon completing his undergraduate program, he was recruited by the IBM Corporation where he served three years in the national marketing division for large systems. Kevin is the father of two school age girls, Natalie and Courtney. He and his wife, Mary, reside in Elk Grove.
