| Sue Lempert A weekly columnist at the San Mateo Daily News, Sue Lempert was both mayor and deputy mayor of the city of San Mateo and a longtime member of that city’s council. Lempert was also a member of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. Formerly she was a member of the high school board and the elementary school board. She serves on a variety of county and regional committees dealing with transportation and congestion management. She became involved in JSA through her son, Ted, who was active in JSA in high school and went on to be JSA governor and later a state assemblyman and county supervisor. Her daughter, Liz, was also involved in JSA in high school and as an assistant at the summer schools. |
