| Jennifer Raiser The former treasure of the Junior Statesmen Foundation, Jennifer Raiser was Statesman of the Year in 1980. A graduate of Aragon High in San Mateo, she served two terms as mayor of the Golden Gate Region, and attended U.C. Davis Summer School in 1978. Jennifer is the president of Raiser Senior Services, which develops, markets and manages high-quality continuing care communities for the elderly. She is the coauthor of a textbook on retirement communities published by John Wiley and Sons. She also publishes restaurant and travel reviews and articles. Prior positions include management consulting for the Boston-based Harbridge House, marketing and advertising for BBDO, brand management for Procter and Gamble, and university administration for Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. She holds a BA in English and an MBA, both from Harvard University. She serves on the boards of Community Gatepath, formerly Poplar ReCare, and Ecology Action, and recently completed terms on the Board of Coyote Point Museum for Environmental Education. Jennifer and her husband, Donald Bacon, are the parents of a young son and daughter. |
