JSA Diplomat Program AnnouncementOn July 30, JSA announced that it is partnering with the nation’s premier study abroad program, CET Academic Programs, to launch its first international summer school for high school students in China.  The JSA Diplomat Program will be held next summer in Beijing.  Adam Jones, China Programs Manager at CET Academic Travel, introduced the program to students at the Junior Statesmen Summer School at Georgetown.

Students Survive Anarchy During Trial Run of Civic Mirror

The odds seemed stacked against us.  It was a Friday evening, after an intense week of summer school at Stanford.  Many students had research papers due the next morning. Some were scheduled to audition for the talent show.  All had one more week of classes before completing what was probably the most intense academic experience in their lives.  What were the chances that we could gather 20 students from California and Arizona into one room to participate in an “experiment” in citizenship and experiential learning?

Constitutional Law Professor - Junior Statesmen Summer School at Yale (1996-2008)

The faculty at the Junior Statesmen 2009 Summer School at Yale have decided to present an award to the best student in this year’s Constitutional Law course at Yale in memory of Professor Frank Harrison who died in June and who taught Con Law at Yale for the past 13 years.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. John McCain said Thursday the United States must recover from the "moral failures" of human rights abuses and called for Americans to stand on the "right side" of history as a leader of the free world.
