Richard T. Prosser

National Public Affairs Director

Richard Prosser has been national public affairs director since late 2007. Earlier, he served as executive director of The Junior Statesmen Foundation from 1969 onward.

Under his leadership, the organization grew from a staff of one to a staff of more than 20, from a California program to a national organization, and from an annual budget of $80,000 to an annual budget of $6 million.

As executive director, Prosser was responsible for managing and providing educational leadership for the Junior Statesmen program.

Although he has earned bachelors and masters degrees, Prosser describes himself as self-educated.

He resides in Washington, D.C., with his wife Karen. They have two grown children, Amy and Edward.
