Spring State 2008

Passing the Torch:  A New World Order

We live in a world of change; we will be electing a new president, competing in the upcoming Olympics, reforming policy, and reshaping the world in which we live.  Never in our history have we been presented with such an enormous opportunity to affect change.  With the 2008 presidential election in full swing, we, as students, have a voice like never before.

It is time to “pass the torch” to our new leadership, to the athletes who represent our country, and to the legislators who will be guiding our nation.  It is time to create a new world in which negative politics may be set aside in the name of democracy, tension between nations may be quelled for the sake of global cooperation, and partisanship may be diminished in order to have a truly “United” States.  In 2008 we will have immeasurable opportunities to not only change but improve the way in which we live, and everyone should step up and get involved!

At this year’s Spring State conventions, not only will we discuss the future of our country, but we will be electing our JSA leadership for next year.  It is time that we grasp the opportunities in front of us and immerse ourselves in what is going on around us.  JSA is an organization which will quench your thirst for involvement, and we hope to see you at Spring State.
