The horrific shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, has resulted in a nationwide response from teenagers and questions about the next steps in the conversation about gun laws. High school students across the country are planning protest activities that include school walkouts, marches, and trips to their state capitals.

Join the Junior State of America on Monday, March 26 at 8:00 pm ET/6:00 pm PT for a discussion on the power of protest in a democracy and its effectiveness.

The conversation will consider ongoing efforts by The Stoneman Douglas survivors including a national march in Washington, DC and coordinated trips to meet with their Members of Congress and state legislators. The survivors are also sounding a call for raising the age limit to purchase assault-style weapons. Share your thoughts on the protest efforts. Is it effective? Will the non-voting status of those leading the #NeverAgain movement affect their power?
