JSA & the Supreme Court

AHAN2399

This week's U.S. Supreme Court's decision in the case of Masterpiece Cakeshop vs. Colorado Civil Rights Commission closely mirrors the debate that JSA students presented and ruled on during hearings at various Junior State of America events this Spring.

Across nine JSA states, students ruled primarily for the Civil Rights Commission -- countering the Supreme Court’s 7-2 decision. In their 5-4 decision, JSA justices ruled that discrimination, in any form, was unconstitutional.

Tell JSA what you thought about the decision. Were you surprised at the court's ruling?
